Going home means something different for all of us. It might be a ride down a familiar road, a visit with relatives, or taking time to enjoy a forgotten past time. For one individual, driving a 1954 GMC Pickup sets the stage for returning home.

After an extensive search for a restorable '54 GMC, our customer found a complete truck with 50 years of moderate deterioration. Fifty years is enough time for the best cared for vehicles to acquire wear, modifications, leaks, corrosion and inter-related malfunctions.

Select Motor Company was chosen to perform a restoration with user-friendly function and fresh truck form in mind. The years gone by made it necessary to disassemble the truck for a rebuild of all of its systems. The
disassembly provided an excellent opportunity to refinish those parts not being replaced in the rebuild.
